Rut activity update 11-18-2010

Many researches are predicting a later than normal rut this year with the peak time occurring between November 21st and the 24th.  Hopefully these predictions are correct because we will be out in the woods during that time.  I have heard numerous reports in Anne Arundel County, Talbot County, Montgomery County, Caroline County, and Howard that the rut has started.  I have no doubt that it has, and historically it always does but I have not personally seen the mad crazy rutting activity to date (PRIME RUT).  There have been some reports of nice deer taken so far this 2010 season, but I think this was during the pre-rut phase which can obviously be very productive as well and some actually prefer this time to head out into the woods during the Trolling Phase.  GIVE ME THE FULL RUT!!
We will be heading out tomorrow to try our luck and I have very high expectations for success.  Stay tuned.

Side note, my eyes in the woods in Montgomery had to suddenly disable our cell conversation because of sudden deer intrusion, the nerve of some people, what happened to priorities?

As always, we’ll keep you posted!!
